Okinawa soba making experience
This is an experience of making "Okinawa soba", which is a typical Okinawan dish.
What does the Okinawa soba making experience do?
We will introduce how you actually participated in the experience!
I had an experience at "Yushiyushi" in Onna village in the northern part of Okinawa prefecture!
At "Yushiyushi", the owner of Uchinanchu (Okinawa) will guide you for 18 years as an experience instructor!
You can experience it with <XNUMX group only>, so even small children can feel at ease.
It was Kana, XNUMX years old, and Kou, XNUMX years old.
And one babysitter accompanied.
Get ready and start the experience ♪
First, make the dough!
Gently mix it so that the powder does not spill.
Children love this kind of work, don't they?
Gradually, I'm getting sick and fighting for powder!
Next, knead well so that the powder and water mix well!
Knead with all your strength
I'm doing my best to be delicious!
The work of kneading is so difficult that it requires the power of an adult.
If the dough pops out, it will be difficult, so put the dough in a double bag and fluff it with your feet!
Once the dough is soft, let the dough lie down.
In the meantime, I was guided to a spectacular spot that only locals can understand.
If it's a sunny and windless day, you can see a beautiful view like a glass up to the horizon.
After returning from the sea, it's time to stretch the dough.
7-year-old Ko-chan is truly an older brother!
The round dough is getting flatter and flatter.
It also takes power to stretch the dough!
It's a little difficult for 4-year-old Kana, but I was able to grow it little by little with the help of the owner ♪
After stretching the dough thinly, cut it into small pieces.
Since I use a kitchen knife, I will cut it slowly while having the owner teach me.
It's getting closer to the state of noodles ♪
At the end, boil the noodles!
While saying "This is horrible" and "This is short and futocho"
I'm checking the floating noodles!
Carefully transfer the boiled noodles to the bowl ~
Topped with ribs and kamaboko, and the owner's characteristic soup, it's done! !!
Okinawa soba made from scratch by ourselves.
One shot taken after waiting for you to eat soon!
You can feel the deliciousness from your facial expression ♪
Completed in no time!
It was delicious♪
In the experience process, there are some tasks that require caution, such as cutting and boiling, but with the careful guidance of the owner and the support of the babysitter, even 4-year-old Kana-chan was able to work safely and happily.
We heard voices from the two people saying, "It's hard to make soba" and "Eat everything."
I think it was a very good experience for both of us as an experience of Okinawan food culture and food education.
* You can participate in the Okinawa soba making experience with "Yushiyushi" from the age of three.
